Stiff Clutch 99-04 gt ????

Got a friend looking at buying a 99-04 mustang gt 5-speed. She is having a hard time pushing in the clutch and the guy at the dealership says that it is just the way they are. I haven't seen the car yet. Nor have I ever even driven a 99-04 gt. Anybody know of any problems with the clucth being stiff or should I tell her to get a gym membership???

could be cable binding or weak components. If its a stock clutch then it shouldn't be that hard. Now if it has aftermarket in it then a nice quadrant kit will help out some.

I would start with the cable. After I put in the UPR quadrant, firewall adjuster, adjustable cable , and Spec Stage 3 clutch my car was a nightmare to drive. rscoupe installed a Steeda cable and it was a night and day difference over that POS that came with the UPR stuff.

The pedal should be lighter than your cobra's.
