The government always sites that it would take ten years to get a refinery online, but they were saying that 20 years ago also. The only thing that bugs me with todays business/government environment is that they would build it and simply charge as much per barrel as the rest of the world does because they are all greedy bastards.Or they build new refinerys and OPEC drops their oil price down to 50$ / barrel and put the American companies out of business in 6 months and then back up to 140$ a barrel after that. I agree though we have the oil here so that we wont be dependant at all on foreign oil....lets do it!
