Anyone have a hookup on aluminum plate, or know where would be the best place to get some? I'm in the Hamilton Fairfield area, and it can either be "treadplate" or "plain". I need two pieces 37" x 19.25" x 3/16".
Thanks.

likely easier and cheaper to buy two 2'x4' sheets and cut them down.........metals prices are higher when "non" standarded sizes.
No idea where in our area though, yellow pages maybe :)
google found this......

You're probably right. I need them to make step/fuel tank plates on my pontoon boat. Sometimes I hate living down here...when I lived in my hometown, I knew where I could get anything I needed.
Thanks Mista.

that link mentioned they can shear, so not so bad.
Alot depends on how busy a shop is, I've had stuff cut for free when a place was slow, but was also charged $5 a cut when they were busy with more profitible jobs.
But this was in Detoilet.....

Try Lowes. I recall some being there. Not sure on the size though.

i know of a shop in Fairfield near Fairfield High School that does stainless. Call Nick at DBS Fabricators 856-9600. Tell him you were referred by Kai at C&T Design. He usually leaves around 5pm.
