tuning question?? 04 f150

just bought a 04 f150 sxt supercab 2wd
it has the triton 4.6
are these things able to be tuned?
what kind of power gains?
gas miles?
the truck has aftermarket dual exhaust otherwise its stock
any help would be great!

Yeah you can tune them. You can also get rid of that stupid delay with the electronic throttle.

I know the canned tunes from SCT will get you some good power and gas mileage.

it seems like when you step on it from a red light it takes off lazy but when it reachs around 3500 rpms it feels good

Yeah. Ford has a pretty big delay built in to help the long life of parts.


I'd personally get an Xcal 2 from SCT. You'll get 3 tunes. Towing, Power and fuel.

I believe Dayton Performance is still running a special on the SCT tuners with a tune.
