Myself and Bighonkey have some cats we want to sell.

I have 4 off my stock H-pipe just taking up room.

Where can we sell these?

(If this is not the right forum, then feel free to move.)

I took mine to a place called bluegrass recycling. They are in NKY off of the Hebron exit. They gave me 25.00 for each stock mustang converter I brought in. They said it depends on the size, as well as if it is factory or an aftermarket converter. The factory converters are worth more.

I think Phipps Auto salvage off east of town gave me 20-25 a piece for the small cats off a mustang H-Pipe a few months ago.

The 4 stock cats on the mustang do not bring that much cash.So save up and get some more cats before you turn them in.

My 96GT had 6 cats on the stock H-pipe. I got 175.00 for all 6. I had an aftermarket cat from the camaro I am parting out, and they only gave me 5 bucks for it. Call around, some places give more than others.

The price for selling cats to the middleman is more than likely low. A big single Ford or Chevy will bring 100.00 to 150.00.
I never sold any of the smaller multi-inlines yet.
There was a time not long ago, when we didn't even consider selling converters. They would just go into the dumpster with the corrogated and everything else.
Could you imagine, hitting about twenty full size gas pick-ups a night at that rate?
