There's way more to this story than either side is saying. There's no way they could get this by the league...cutting a guy for not showing up to VOLUNTARY workouts due to being at his grandmothers funeral? It probably has to do with him being an alcoholic than anything.

You can cut a guy for any reason in the NFL. Those contracts for the most part are not guaranteed. And being he had been suspended he probably pretty much lost any rights to bitch about getting let go.
F him. Out with the old and in with the new.

They probably had some very high expectations for his conduct coming back given his prior history. Who knows and who really cares, good riddance to him , Henry and Ocho Stinko.

From my understanding, their saying they are wanting a younger D, since drafting Rivers, Thurman is out. But when he did play, before the suspension, he was a bad ass. Henry, he's just a punk, and CJ, he's just being a total jack ass! Notice all the wide receivers the Bengals are stocking up on?!? I bet they bench his ass for being such a baby! :flipoff:
He was at the bottom of the depth chart (bengals have 10 LB's under contract, 11 with Rivers) and he wasn't giving football the effort that the bengals expected. Besides, did anyone watch the first OTA video on bengals.com? He looked out of shape to me. Granted, we all miss him in his 2005 form, but he seems to be far from that now.

I figured he came in overweight and out of shape, what the hell are these guys thinking?

They have the world by the balls but can't keep out of trouble, then end up unemployed...it fucking amazes me.

My best friend is a cop in NKY and I know for a fact Odel has not been an angel. He has not totally changed his ways. It does not surprise me.

can any of you be surprised by the actions of any of the players on this team or it's managment. I see the downward slide of the Bengals coming back. Last year was a good indicator of things to come.....
