Just remove the smog pump, run a shorter belt, and plug the holes in the back of the heads. It is very easy and shouldn't take you too long....

it is gone and the belt touches itself and rubs the ribs off it,maybe its routed wrong?

Not sure if you saw this but this was actually posted this morning just before this thread http://www.stangbangerz.com/forums/showthread.php?t=43477 Make sure your belt is ran like that and it is the appropriate size. Let me know if you have any more issues.
