65 Rambler American

What I have is a Drag car that has been toned down and have been using it as a street car. It is a very solid 65 Rambler American.It has a 406 CID SBC in it. Engine has eagle crank, Scat rods, Forged pistons. Dart Pro One Platinum heads with 2.08 1.60 valves. Weiand Team G intake and now has a Holley 750 carb. Engine is solid roller with good sized thumper for a cam( I don't know the specs) Turbo 350 trans and has a 9" converter that doesn't seen to have much of a stall. Has a custom built drive shaft made for the car. It has a 8.8 mustang rear with 3.73 gears. Engine is motor plated. It has a new Griffin Aluminum radiator and a flow cooler mechanical water pump. With the electric water pump and the frankensteined mechanical 780cfm carb it was a low 11 sec. car. As it sits now it has better street manners and would be mid to low 12s. Engine was not dynoed but very similar engines are well over 400HP and most are pushing 500HP. A good carb guy could tune this thing and make a sick amount of power with it. Car is 2800lbs, it has a 15 gallon fuel cell in the trunk and the battery is in the trunk as well. I have back problems and a car with a motor plate is not agreeing with my back.(the race buckets don't help much) It is sitting on 15x8 and 3.5 drag lites with 165r's up front and Hoosier 26x9.5 quick times on the rear. Asking price is $6500
It would take most if not all of that to build the engine. Car will come with the electric water pump and the other carb.

Thanks man, Its a blast to drive. I drove it 70 miles today. It did great but my back will still feel it next weekend when I hop in it to do it again. It sucks getting old.

Thanks guys! I would entertain interesting trades. But please, Unless your s-10 has a ls1 and a six speed don't waist my time! Everybody and their mom has a v8 s10 they want to get rid of and im not interested.

LMAO!! Long story short, when he had his Mustang on craiglist here recently he got like 3 offers to trade for hacked V8 S10s and one guy was even going to throw in a row boat for boot!! Ive seen my brother get irritated alot in my life but that was a week of seeing him pissed at every email he opened!! :lol:
