I need to know if I should go to the doctor asap, or, if it can just wait for an appointment.

The colored portion of my right eye is not inline with the black portion that should normally sit directly behind it.

The colored portion of my eye is quite literally "floating" around, on top of the all black portion that normally, should be all covered up (excluding my pupil).
Sometimes the colored portion is shifted to the right, exposing half of the black area in the center of my eye, other times it is to the left or up or down.

At times, my vision in that eye becomes blurry but then comes back.

BOTH my left and my right eyes physically hurt too.

This happened on Friday night. The only thing I can think of is I was on my bike with the visor open, doing...well...going REAL fast.

What do you think happened & is it urgent? (in your opinion)
thanks

If you cut your arm off would you get on here and ask if you should go to the hospital?

It was in fact a detached retina.
They did a simple surgery procedure a few hours later and now I'm golden minus this sweet pirate patch. I was in the hospital for like 4 hours total, quick and painless....almost.
They even told me I could ride in a few days.

Thanks.

The thought of eye surgery makes me ill, and I've been operated on a lot!

What's worse, is that I was not "knocked" out. My face was put under anesthesia and I was given a lot of pain medicine so I would chill out.

Sharad, The visor stays down now.
