Want to Borrow: Camera Mount this weekend

I'm heading to Putnam Park this weekend for some road course action. I've got a digital camcorder, and a roll bar, but no camera mount. Does someone have a camera mount to mount to 1 5/8" roll bar tubing that I could borrow for the weekend.

I'd have to pick it up tomorrow before noon. I don't mind giving you a security deposit or whatever if you would like. Let me know, I'd love to have some track footage.

You can fab up something quick with a 1/4-20 bolt, a piece of steel and a 1-5/8" muffler clamp!

I thought there had to be something to dampen the vibration and shock or there could be possible camera damage.

Wouldn't be a bad idea but most camera mounts people are using don't have any dampening built in.

I'm going to be up Saturday to shoot some and hang out. Putnam is a bit of a challenge to shoot, not many accessable places to shoot from.

I can't ask someone that I don't konw to borrow something that valuable. The one I was going to use was like a $800 camcorder (when new). I'm heading out at 11:00 this morning, so I'm pretty much out of time anyhow. Not a big deal, there will be other times, and I'll be more prepared.

No Prob Kevin..alittle more time and I could've let you borrow my RACE car camcorder(one I use strickly for this just in case somethin happens to it,,its a cheapy JVC mini DV).....Have fun be safe....:bigthumb
