I'm looking for a driveshaft approx. 45.5 inch center of u-joint to center. I'm installing a 5 speed in a 1984 stang and need a shorter D-shaft with yoke if possible. I have heard the 5.0 AOD auto or 5 speed will fit but not sure.

You should be able to run a stock length drive shaft.

The reason I say this, is I went to a C-4 from a 5 speed and kept the same driveshaft.

My stock one measures 48" center to center. I think it was a C-3 behind the 4 cylinder.
