I live in Indiana, and a guy I work with wants to buy my corolla. Is there any type of inspection of the car in Kentucky prior to him transferring the title? The windshield is cracked and he does not want to replace it yet.

He lives over by the Hebron exit if that matters.

yes there is the sheirff will check it out the vin # most of them dont even look at the car i would try it

The BUYER will have to take it to the Sheriff (or appointed garage) after the purchase for an Out of State Inspection. All they do is check the VIN against the paperwork and verify milage.

Is there any required safety inspection or emissions?

Hey Tim there is no safety or emmission testing. The only thing they have cracked down on is people trying to trasfer "project" cars. As long as its running and the vin # is correct he shouldn't have any problem.
