Okay so I wasnt lucky enough to get a spot in Norwalk for the Pinks all out race but snagged some tickets for the weekend. Does anyone kno if they will allow you to camp in the parking lot of the track or not?

Is this right at the track or "near" the track?

Right at the track. They have a camping area on the backside of the spectator/show car side of the track inside the track grounds.

It's June 7. I contacted them and they told me if your not racing, no camping at the track. They said there is a campsite not too far though. They said if you are racing, you can pay an extra $15 for one extra vehicle only and camp there. I thought since they had that big grassy area across the street they would allow camping there but I guess not.

I'm going, just come in with me and be part of my pit crew, we can park the RV's together. Bearings should be here in a few days, motor in shortly thereafter.

I will be there camping also in a 36ft 5th wheel. Anyone else interested in making a complete weekend out of it and going to Cedar point on Sunday?

I will have my little one with me possibly. If it doesn't work out bringing her, then yeah, that sounds fun. Otherwise I have to have her back by 6 or she turns into a pumpkin.

We are actually leaving June the 1st to head up that way. We are camping up on Lake Erie at East Harbor State Park for the week. I can't wait for that week to get here.

Just got off the phone with them and cin mustang pretty much explained it right. All racers will be on the Pit side of the track on the blacktop. You can buy extra parking next to trailer and setup a tent for you and crew(Friends, spectators) if you have a racers ticket. They are using the other side of the track for manufacturer midway and family stuff and some parking. This is all Pinks requests,No spectator camping.I think they are ruining the whole Norwalk experience for alot of people but what do you do.We will be sleeping in trailer and setting up 2 tents for our people.

If anyones got tents, bring em and you can set up with us. I may have a floor spot in the rv open depending on how many kids come with us.

So let me make sure I have this right.....I can follow a racer up with my motor home and pay the extra for crew vehicle space?

This is the message I was sent. I interpreted to be just one extra vehicle. I tried to reply back to her to ask her if that meant one extra besides my rv but she hasn't responded back. I guess you could call her and see. If you want her number, let me know.

Hi Cindy,

Since you are racing you may camp in the pits. We allow one vehicle in the pits per participant and if you have additional vehicles you may purchase one more parking pass at $25. I hope this helps you.

Sincerely,

Jillian F Mercer

I was told that I could have as many crew as I needed. I assume that means a few camping spots too.

I think Kelly has talked me into going! I'll be up early Saturday morning, probably leaving my house around 6am.
