Looking for recommendations on electric fans (low profile) and fan controllers. How good are the probe type controllers? What are you guys running?

I know a lot of people really like the Mark VIII fans with the DCC controller. I've got a black magic with the radiator probe thing. Has worked flawlessly so far, but I'd like it to draw more air.

Looks as if the DCC website is down. What cfm should I be looking for? Im looking at this now.

The mark VIII at 12 volts only pulled 3800 but when fed 14 volts it pulled 4800. Thats more than double what that jegs fan puts out. The black magic does about the same as that jegs fan.

I would look out for a DCC control unit on corral or somewhere. It takes forever to get them, and like you said, their site is down.

I just put a 16" summit racing branded fan [PN G4904] in my '89 inside the factory shroud. I think it was like $89. I made my own switch kit. 12V LED, Rocker switch, 30/40 Relay, and good copper wire. The car runs BELOW the L in "normal" on the temp switch.

My dad's '93 GT has a thermocouple that goes in the lower intake manifold instead of the radiator temp sensor. It's cool too.

Here's mine:
