engine rattle

i just put a e 303 cam in my truck bout a month ago,and to day started it and nothing diffrent,till i hold about a 3 grand rev,and i get a rattle i dont think its a rod, but sounds like a valve floating or a rist pin rattling any input on wat it might be?theres no rattle under hard load besides a vavle rattle

How old are the springs?

not sure how old had they are bought the motor about 2 years ago

ok,do you have good gauges ( autometer) in there to make sure you have good oil psi???
And also i would look into a good set of valve springs.I bought a set from Cincy speed last year,they are the conical crane cam's and they work great.I think they might have about 2 sets in stock,but hurry cuz im probly buyin another set here soon.:bigthumb

its a roller block, i just hop the bottom end isnt starting to go

Does it sound like a low thud or a high tick.Like valvetrain.Or a crank.

nah it aint a low thud kinda sounds like a tap but not a tick,the valves do rattle a little at wot

Are your rockers gotting your valve covers? Are they stud or pedastol mount rockers?

I think he's got a factory set of heads.The E7's with factory rockers.But take the baffle out any way since its right under the valve cover.

it wasnt doing it wen i first put it in then after a few hard runs,i started it sounds fine at idle,but hold it at about 3 grand and its got a weird tap

Did you change the lifters?
