Well I went down to Tristate yestarday to race and ended up being able to do just timed runs for the same price to race. Well the new motor only netted me a 12.77 @ 105 on motor w/ a 1.64 60FT leaving at 5800 on the 2 step. I know it has more its just a matter of time. I also know my 3.73 gear is killing me. I am rolling thru the traps in 4th gear at 48-4900. I am going to break it in a little more and then spray the hell out of it. I am pretty confident that short belting it, powershifting, and a 4.10 gear it has 12.10's-12.20's in it on motor. Overall I am happy though.

What size tires are you running? You may need to keep the 3.73's to keep the rpm's within reason on the spray. Or if your running 26" tires...swap to the 4.10's...then run 28"s when you spray it.

I am running 26X8.5 ET Drags. Ya know last year on my old motor I ran 26" DR's with my 4.10 spraying it and I ran out of gear on the big end. I put the 3.73 in there and it made a world of a difference. But if I ran it on motor it was the same deal, a lot of unused power on the big end that could net me some low 12's.

Steve run the 4.10s with a 26" tire on motor and a 28" tire for nitrous. I would go with some 38" tires for some real monster truck damage.

A 28x9 slick would work for you on the spray well I think.
