The car was clean before the 7 hour drive. It's a little dirty, but this color doesn't show dirt badly at all.

Yeah, the Cobra is alot different then any car I've had. I can't even begin to compare it anything.

I feel the same way about owning it as I did about my 'vette. It's nice to have a "baller" car again, and this one is fast :bigthumb

That is true, after a second watch. I beleive John is easier shifting then some peeps in the srt's, but then again his trans will last longer doing that. :bigthumb

My car held fine through 3rd gear, and for some reason on the 3-4 shift, the car doesn't go into boost for about 10 seconds.. It just does nothing. I'm not sure if it's the tune, or the boost controller.. I'm going to play with it this weekend since I'm off and try to get it fixed, and try and get a clean run..

But on a sidenote, I absolutely love this car. It's bad ass.. I'm jealous.. Makes me want to make the switch.. Driving home last night, people would stare hardcore at him, and ignore the Neon.. I need a baller ride, I guess a quick Neon just isn't cool :(

Honestly, power-to-weight ratio of my Cobra and Woofers Neon is just about spot on. (Neon - 2850lbs/443whp, Cobra - 3650lbs/585whp)

I agree I like the Cobra more than his, or my old Neon, but it's also almost twice as expensive lol. So I would sure hope it would be the better car.

Either way, waffles car is very impressive, and we actually raced again with him NOT on the D/R's, and the 3-4 improved (Not fixed, just better), and we held very good. The first race from 60, I got real cocky and left it in 3rd, and he pulled. The rest of the races, I'd say the Cobra has slightly better top end (once the Neon hits 5th @ 130), but nothing was drastic at all.

Either way, I'm just excited to start racing people that aren't my good friends lol. Noone else will race us though!

The Cobra will hopefully be MD tuned on a couple more PSI, and I'm sure Jons Neon can up it a little too!

Side note, is anyone going to the car show this Sunday at QS&L? Tony told me to go, so I'll hopefully be cleaning my car Sunday morning, and seeing if anyone likes the pumpkin.

I'm just sayin...maybe i'm biased but to me the '03-04 is among the sickest Mustangs ever built (and i'm a huge fan of the classics so it's not because it's new or anything).

I didn't mean disrespect or anything about the Neon...granted they sure as hell aren't for me, i just wouldn't own a front wheel drive car with performance in mind no matter how fast it was. I really like the old Omni GLHS's but i still wouldn't want one....same goes with the Daytonas and Conquests etc.

I would race you but c'mon, my Merkur is maybe making 200rwhp...lol. With a 3'' exhaust, decent front mount, more fuel and boost it'll probably smoke the Mustang too.

I never did purchase a neon srt but I still have a spirit RT in pieces now. You did well getting the Cobra Mike. I hope it treats you right because it is a good feeling being able to get into a powerful car anytime you want and not worry too much about it breaking.

Yeah Mike its always much nicer to buy something thats fast and fun pretty much right off the car lot or from a private owner than it is to have to start dumping tons of money and hours of labor in it to achieve it all on your own.
