Ok so I installed my Pa K Member and when I went to bolt the steering rack up the bolts are too long and run out of thread. Anyone else have this issue and where can I get hardened bolts this long?
Thanks,
Brandon

I think I had the same issue with my D&D Kmember. I think I just got some shorter grade 5 or 8 bolts from the local hardware store.
My Qa1 came with bolts, but I don't think you would need hardened bolts. The rack can't really go anywhere.

if I put a steel spacer in there to give me more thread does anyone think this would propose major issues?

on a related subject, anyone know what the size and thread is for the bolts?

I am installing a QA1 k member in my 89 gt and a flaming river manual rack.I ordered flaming river rack bushings but the steal spacer is to small to slide on the mounting points on the QA1.Anyone had this problem.

My PA k member has a long bolt going all the way through with a nut on the other side.

Well all the k members have that as far as i know.... my issue was the stock bolt was too long and the kit didn't come with any shorter bolts.
I just put an inch steel spacer for now... it feels very sturdy and i will keep it as is unless I hear someone saying otherwise.

You don't use the steel tube, the rack has one on it already. The bushing just go over the tube on the Kmember, one in front and one in the back. Hope this helps.

that should be fine. Did you put the spacer in the rear of the Kmember or the front by the nut?
