holy crap! That woke my wife and I up in SOMERSET KY!!! I heard some noise in my roof and I thought, GOSH, I thought the mice were all gone for the summer!? Then it kept getting louder and I thought, that's one big ass mouse!?
But yeah, that's exactly what time it was too because it was a few minutes before my alarm clock was set to go off so I just stayed up, got some morning nookie, and hopped in the shower! :)

Was awake in Milford when it happened.
I do remember exactly when it started and ended, but all that happened was the house sounded like it was settling.
News reports are stating that the epicenter was in Illinois though?

Scratch that-
Evansville, Indiana was the epicenter.

Slept right through it. My wife heard her stuff on her dresser rattling here in Ft Mitchell.

That was a very odd feeling and between my wife and I we woke up a bit confused on what was happening. First thing we though was earthquake and then I thought it was heavy wind since we don't have earthquakes very often here. The last time we had a earthquake was 1988.

shook pretty good in Amelia. Woke us up and scared the dogs. Good thing it didn't do any damage at my house.

Damn it, I missed it! I was sound asleep and didn't feel a thing. I vaguely remember stirring, but didn't recognize what was going on and went right back to sleep. My poor dogs must have been scared to death in their cage.

It woke me and my cats up. I honestly thought it was just a train (there is a train track that runs along route 8 and when the river is up, it shakes my house). But then I thought, the river isn't up, WTF? I got up and turned on the news and they were talking about it, 145 miles away. My cats were going crazy!

I thought it was Matt flopping around in bed, but when I woke up and realized he was completely still, I freaked out a bit. The last time there was an earthquake around here, I was still a newborn.

It was definitely a strange expeirence. There was no tactile feed back from it for me, it was only a noise event for me.
I remember thinking that I heard a window break, but then the noise persisted and went on for like a whole minute and I just kept thinking to my self what in the eff? It was actually a learning experience for me because upon being unable to recognize what the noise was, I actually got like "scared" and was kind of frozen in my bed when I kept telling my self to get the fuck up and make sure no one was breaking in the house....

The last time that happened was like 25 years ago. I was standing on second base and everything was moving. This time I was in the house, was a different effect. Still strange. My cat was going crazy. My dog slept through it.

I was laying in bed feeding the baby and i heard something rattle and felt like the floor was shaking. I thought to myself at that second it felt like a earthquake, but, was like nah not around here...woke up this morning reading the news online and sure enough....

I was sitting at my desk at work (Dayton VA) and felt the desk move and heard the whole building making creaking noises. I knew from past experiences what it was right away.
My co-worker was standing up at the time doing some work. She got dizzy and felt sick to her stomach. She started going to go sit in the breakroom to recover!
I felt an earthquake about (20) years ago while I was working at Wright-Patt. Back then there was an earthquake somewhere in Missouri.
