Well I have a 1991 mustang 5.0 LX. I have owned it for 10 years now. about 5 years ago I built a 383CI 351 windsor from a 75 torino. I has Eagle forged crank, h beam rods, Srp pistons. about 9.2:1 comp. Windsor SR aluminum heads. TFS R intake. Roller lifters/rockers. I rebuild the AOD with a lentec valve body with trans brake and OD delete. 3200 GER stall converter. Went 13.5 @ 101 then if I remember right and made 250 rwhp:confused: I was dissapointed. I then started searching for a supercharger. Went with a Procharger D1. Made 490+ rwhp @20psi and got into the high 10's. About 2 yeas ago I sold the procharger and built my TT setup Turbonetics 62-1 turbos. Made 553 rwhp @12psi running E85 with the 72# injectors maxed out. Ran 10.3 @ 130mph first and only time out also about two years ago. Less boost=MORE POWER+No more belts to buy:bigthumb I moved to TROY from North Dakota last July. I didnt get a chance to do anything to it last year. Ohh yea I replaced the head gaskets after my dynotuner put 30+ psi to it and blew them out:D That was 1 year ago. He said he saw 580 rwhp at 14 psi just befor that. I think that AOD is really hurting my dyno numbers especially since its no locking. Any way the body needs work, paint. Here are some pics....
Also I need to downsize to 96 or 120# injectors. The 160's are too big and I need to sell them. They are near new with only a couple of dyno pulls and about 10 miles of cruising on them.

If you are still planning on running E85 defnitley give Mike a call. He's running it in his supercharged convertible and has tuned a few other cars running on it as well. You can also talk to 05yellowgt. He's running E85 in his car and I think he may even be in the market for a set of HUGE injectors in the near future.
What part of Dayton are you in?

I need some big injectors. I was thinking 125's or 150's to give enough overhead for 20psi of boost on E85. Mike Bell with Dayton Performance has been doing a lot of tuning on E85, including my car. Right now it is just n/a but I'll be adding an F1 Procharger to a built and stroked 4.6 as I complete that build. What kind of fuel system are you running to support your power? That is one part of the equation I havent' quite gotten buttoned down yet and would enjoy input on your setup.

I also wanted to mention that my dyno at Dayton Performance is a dynojet 224 XLC, loading dyno. It can spool that turbo up and hold it at whatever mph or rpm you would like. Give me a call at 937-396-2946

Yeah a loading dyno is the best way to tune a turbo car since you can get accurate spooling of the turbo just like what you would see on the street. Makes it a lot easier to get a good tune going.

I have -12 from sump to a stainless filter, a Paxton (Areomotive A1000) pump, Paper filter (I need to check this to see what the E85 may have done to it!), -10 out of pump to Yblock two -8's up to paxton billet rails two -6 out of rails to another Y block going up to a -8 to a paxton boost referencing regulator and -8 back to the tank. I also have a MSD fuel pump boost controller.
Right now I have Leaks on my Y blocks where the E85 dissolved the teflon paste I used. I have some pipe dope made to be used with pretty much any fuel I will use to fix it.

If your going to run E85, I wouldn't be surprised if you run out of pump. Also, I would keep the 160's. If your heart is set on selling them, send me a price. Also, I was told that 96's were much harder to dial in then a set of 83's. Fwiw.

I'm from Troy also... And I was just on the dyno yesterday. Managed 307hp and 299TQ to wheels on the coupe now. And we found that my mass air meter was bad. Runs better with the new one. The new dyno is awesome! Probably be there with something to run on Sat. also.

I hope the fuel pump booster will be enough. It will put out like 22 Volts max if I remember right. The story on the injectors is I bought 96#r's from my old dynotuner. I installed them one had a leak on the dyno. He swapped in the 72's he had laying around. After seeing those max out I began to wonder if the 96's were enough at the last minuite I told him I wanted to step up to 160's and here I am. Now they make 120's May be this is what I should get but they are more expensive than anything else.

I have done a bunch of research, and you shouldn't have any problems with the Gen7 and the 160's. I haven't purchased the injectors yet for myself, but I'm just waiting for the right deal to come along. I'm waiting for 150's or 160's for my combo with the Gen7 / single turbo.

Check out his buildup thread "under pressure", he doesn't have anything on the car, but he's got a shitload of parts.

It needs tunning by someone who knows wht to do. I know and I'm not a whiz at it but I can make some changes, but there are a lot of adjustments I don't fully understand. anyway I havent been able to get it to run as well as it did on the 72's Idle/cruise/tip in...

I am questioning If I should title this car in Ohio so I can drive it on the street or keep it strictly strip. I used to cruise it around at night back home. I used to drop my insurance in the winter and pick it up again in the spring no problem. My insurance agent here says I can't do that in OHIO. I cant see paying for insurace if it doesn't get drivin for 6 months. Since this county doesn't have emissions testing I could get it licensed I suppose. I do miss driving it. What do you think?

If it were mine I'd license it. If for no other reason than driving to and from the track. For some reason I'm really digging your combo!:D

What do you think? If it was me, I would most definately slap some plates on it and drive the snot out of it! Just watch out for the Troy cops. They have a BAD reputation for being a bunch of dickheads. I've lived here since 1990 and have had any trouble with them (except when I deserved it! )
We used to have a helluva nice Cruise-In going on every Wedneday night here in Troy. It was held in the parking lot of the now Miami-Jacobs College. It went BUST when the shopping center was sold about (2) years back. We haven't had dick shit since then. Can't seem to get folks organized up here.
Scott and I work some fugged up hours as it is and hard to have a social life period. When are you around ? I'll be sure to cruise on by when I'm out and about.
That's a killer truck you have there as well ! :bigthumb
As someone else pointed out Dayton Performance is have a Chili-Cookoff and DYNO Day here pretty soon. :bigthumb

PLUS you will NOT have Comprehensive coverage if your garage should happen to burn down or some stupid kid breaks your windows or whatever.
It's best just to keep up the coverage IMHO. :cool2:
