Ok ive got some extra money and dont know what to get first .
1. 90 mm mass air sensor
2. Throttle body
3. JLT cold air intake
4. Drag Radials
5. Short throw shifter.
I have about 400 to spend. And i cant figure out what would benefit me more first. Any suggestions anyone?

You can find a used set of drag radials cheap also , i have a set of 16'inch one sure they have some life left 10-15 good passes or more , send me pm make offer. Just find a 16 inch rim and run them when you race the car.

Tires PERIOD. No other mod in that list will give you as good of times as the Drag Radials. It's not opinion, its a proven fact.
Drag Radials. I'm running 275-40-17 BFG's.

But what's the point in having good tires with a broken tranny? Get a short throw shifter and go from there. You will break the shift forks in the tranny if you use the stock shifter and shift hard.

That ride will go mid/high 13's. 4.30 gear and the right driver will find 12's.

Depending on which radials you bought, I would think you could get both radials and short shifter for a little over $400.

Just buy a used shifter, they are all over the place for the T45 transmission, I paid 50 dollars for a used (but in good shape) B&M Pro Ripper with a PRO 5.0 short stick on it.
It's in the car now.

I have a 96 Cobra. I love mine. But they're still very high 13 to low 14 second cars, stock. I haven't had mine on the track yet, but that may happen Sat night. I'll be curious to see what it runs with 4.10s, BBK tb, exhaust, aluminum flywheel, tri-ax shifter and Nitto 555R 275/40 17s. I'm also running 100 shot NX, but think I'll run it n/a for now.
If anyone can find 12s in a stock 96-98 Cobra + gears, I'd love to see time slips for it.

High 12's would be tough with a gear only car, but they are easy mid 13 second cars from the factory.

Everyone else I've talked to seem to think gears will make it a mid 13 sec car. I guess I don't know for sure though, since I've never had mine on the track with lights. Trust me, I'm not into dissin my own car, just lookin at what's realistic.

X2!
...and I'd go with a shifter. Shifter and gears makes for a whole new car. Fun to drive and feels quicker. :bigthumb

To actually weigh in on the question, I've done the mods and tires are a HUGE help. However, I think I'd go with a shifter next.
