I am at the point in my frame rail replacement where I need to drill out some spot welds. Where can I buy one? I have all sorts of drill bits but I think there is a special tool that only cuts one sheet of steel. I will try the KOI paint dept tomorrow. If they have it great. If they don't where else could I look?

Go to a smyth automotive, or a KOI, I bought a spot weld cutter that has a pin in the middle and looks like a tiny hole saw... WORKS WONDERS!!! paid like $11 for it... dont go fast when you use it believe me, just go nice and steady and slow. I almost have my new roof skin cut off with it :bigthumb
By the way, its not a drill bit, its a cutter, and get the 3/8's one!

Harbor freight was out of stock on the spot weld cutter. Lowes didn't have anything either. KOI paint dept is next on the list.

KOI may be more expensive than smyths... If I am not mistaken, they wanted 16 bucks for the cutter when smyths wanted 11

When I start cutting out spot welds on the Comet should they all be 3/8s also?

More than likely, make sure you guys get a few high strength drill bits slightly larger than the center guide pin so the cutter stays in one spot while you are drilling, and only cut through the panel you plan to remove, otherwise you have no material to weld to once you set your new panel in place...
I owe all my knowledge to the one and only Plated:bigthumb

KOI paint dept had them. 30.00 fricken bucks. Hope it lasts long enough to get both frame rails out. The problem is I will be cutting the panel that I need to keep. The frame rail is on the inside but I will weld all the edges, not just spot weld it back in.
