Anyone know where I can get a brass/bronze rod about a half inch or so in diameter and about 8 to 10 inches long??? I need it for fill-welding the hatch on my '88 and the holes under the hood. thanks!

Are there any fabricating shop's nearby to you or metal supply houses...even some junkyard, scrap metal places may have it.

If you are looking online, try www.mcmaster.com they have just about everything and their website is pretty intuitive.

You might also call American Metal Supply in Blue Ash. They are good about dealing in small quantities and may have a scrap of something you could use for a low price. 513-396-6600

just go to home depot, buy a foot long piece of brass pipe and beat one end of it down with a hammer till its flat. ;)

did you find something?? I work at a brass/bronze machine shop running CNCs. Let me know, Im sure we have something laying around.

No not yet, been busy with school and trying to get my coupe to a buddies house so I can get the motor/trans yanked out

I was thinking about it and I might need to find some thats 3/4 around...
