Me and my daughters start the night off great , get some sushi, hang out, go get ice cream and head to the movies(Showcase Cinemas in HUber Heights). We buy tickets to see Shutter. We sit down and there is one couple in the theater. About 5 minutes into the show I would say 75 teenagers straggle in. Of course every one is talking on their cell phone as they laugh, curse and yell at each other. Of course they go to the top of the theater seating....fine by me. I got to witness 4 shouting matches, a 15-16 year old guy calling his girl every thing in the book and everyone in the theater could suck his d_ _ _k for wanting him to shut the hell up. At which point I was happy to escort him out of the theater where I was told I could expect to have my ass beat by his peeps after the show. Go back in, try to get back into the movie and then halfway thru 4 girls come strolling in and sit right behind us. One was carrying a 6 month old like a sack of grocery's. She actually had the kids winter coat wadded up in her fist carrying him by the coat. Baby talk commences, all four start answering cell phones that all started out like this....Sup, where you at, I'm at the movies....what you gonna do lata. By this time I had a splitting headache. Thankfully an usher comes in, tells them to put their cell phones away. That lasts just until he rounds the corner and they get thru calling him every foul name in the book and some I dont even know the meaning of. We leave with 45 minutes left in the movie, I see the manager, get free passes, tell him his security in house sucks. As we are heading to the doors I see my pal waiting with a group of young girls. He is cussing this girl out and then when she tells him to shut up he slaps her. Luckily me and the manager arrived at the same time cause I was going to get put in jail for stomping some 15 year olds head in.

im a young guy myself (22) but i learned a long time ago that you dont treat people like that especially women. i would have never done any of the stuff that you described above but if i did and my dad found out about it i would have gotten my a@@ kicked. i have a 3 month old of my own and im goin to tell him how to talk to people and how to treat others. thats whats wrong w kids these days they all get their "knowledge" from their friends instead of their parents, and now a days parents cant even give their kids a spanking if they are bad...thats some b.s. well sorry that the experiance was so bad for you. thats my .02 worth

i think you'd have been okay for beating up a teenager who had just slapped a girl right in front of you. besides, if his parents aren't going to do it, someone should.

the problem with youth today (and i'm only 24 mind you) is they have no respect for anyone, and their parents do nothing to them when they act like idiots. i'm all for the right for a member of hte public being able to kick someone elses kids ass if they need it.

Mind you I'm old in your eyes, but as a kid if I mouthed off to a neighbor, I might get a switch then sent home. Running was no use, telephone was fasting, belt or yeardstick was waiting.

Most "kids" of today were raise withotu parents. By this I mean the 'rents were to busy with themselves to even think about the kids. 'rents busting their ass to afford the all mightly Benz SUV and what not.

I guess that while my parents did work alot of hours, them coming from the poor southeastern Ohio area, I was raised with respect and honor. Something lost in todays mass confusion.

I'd rather go back to the small towns of SE Ohio or KY, people in general are alot nicer.

If you think I'm a hilljack redneck because of that, I thank you. I enjoy the similar life.

I woulda so got my ass beat by my Dad if I was ever out of line, Let alone hit a girl! Parents today kinda have their hands tied. I remember gettin a whippin if I was bad. Shit we even got swats in school at that point. I don't think I turned out too bad with a little discipline

I think its perfectly okay to pistol whip anyone if they attack a female, threaten one with a mob beating, or just generally are worthless pieces of shit.

You were justified in all three cases.

Mom retired early from teaching once swats were no longer allowed. The kids knew it and they got worse.

mmmm... sushi :) Every eat at the Kyoto? Excellent sashimi... very, VERY good stuff. Oh, kudos on running the kid out of the movie. Whenever this kinda thing happens, I would always just make sure that my concealed firearm was "accidently" seen. I'm sure no one ever thought I was going to shoot them, but just assumed I might be a cop.

Until someone kicks his little ass, its only going to get worse.

The dude will probably be on the news as a rapist or murderer some day soon. If the parents would step up and teach some values to their kids, this would be a rare occurance but it isn't. Such a shame.

I would of called the cops and had him arrested for assault and battery.

My wife is an Adjunct Professor at Edison State. You wouldn't believe the horror stories she comes home with. These are from College kids too.

Each generation is deteriorating as time goes on. Where's it go from here ?

My wife and I dont even got to the local theater because of these same problems. The Manager is also at fault because they should post rules on the door leading into the theater and then escort all individuals who use their cell phones or make noise out. They usually dont even make rounds unless you complain first.

Why the need for signs? At the beginning of each movie they tell you to turn off all cell phones and pagers and converstaions should be held outside the theater. I figure that should be enough. I do agree they need to patrol the theaters for people breaking the rules and kick their asses out. I'm sure after loosing their money on a movie they didn't get to watch they would quit being asses or just not show up making it an even more pleasant to view the movie.

Rule #1 : Don't beat up your girlfriend at the movies.

Really?

Wow. Now I remember why I don't go to the movies anymore. I am easily aggravated by ANYONE talking next to me. I'd rather wait a couple of months for it to come out on DVD. Plus the price of seeing a movie....yikes! They are putting a new movie theater up in Ameila, where Van Leunens used to be (you young uns have no idea what I am talking about!). I may try a matinee there when they open. But seriously, the last movie I saw in a theater was "Meet the Fockers" - back with Vinny right after Christmas several years ago!

ha face and I don't even bother with the movies you always spend at least 40$.... so we pay per view at home and record in on the DVR...thata way we get to see it more than one time... 3.99$ plus 1$ for popcorn we set for the night...can't beat that...
