QS&L Renames Hot Sauce

A restaurant chain with several Tri-State locations is changing the name of one of its hot sauces.

Quaker Steak & Lube says it will be renaming its "Suicide" hot sauce after receiving several complaints that the name is insensitive.

Among those who wrote the company was an Ohio member of a support group for loved ones of people who have committed suicide.

I had a friend kill himself over some stupid woman! It's his fault he did it, his choice, his life, he was a F'ing retard dumb ba$terd for doing it but O'well. Time to move on and forget about it....... I think I'm gonna write a letter now ;)

Guys, the point is, terrible and sad things happen in every single aspect of life. You don't see Holly going around looking for shit named "heart attack" and bitching a storm about it do you? I'm really sorry for anyone who's had a friend or family member commit suicide, but taking offense of a bottle of hot sauce that uses "suicide" in its name is stupid at best. If i spent my days thinking about everything in this world that offends me, i wouldn't be able to focus on anything else in life except bitching about those things. Not a single day goes by, and i swear that's no exaggeration, not a single day goes by that something doesn't offend me or at least REALLY piss me off. It's called "rolling with the punches".

I think that it is too little to late. if you go to this much to change the name of a sauce then you should have spent more time helping your friend or loved you before they commited suicide.

Instead of focusing on the negative, I think it's a real testimate to the lengths QSL will go to for it's customers. We can all witness the same event and take away completely different experiences...just because someone may be offended by it doesn't make them wrong, just like it doesn't make you wrong for NOT being offended by it. I'm not sure how this being "liberalist"? A group of consumers complained, QSL did what they thought was right. I don't think that's liberalist, I think that's marketing 101.
