First of all Thank you to HARCracing (Rob and Heidi) for rescuing this little pup
and letting me give him a home. He is doing much better in only the second day. He is eating and investigating the whole house. Thanks Ibstrokin (Brian) for the advise on the harness, works great we went for a walk and he was much easier to controle and keep right beside me. You would think he was pointing Quael when he stops, he freezes and his tail pops up and his body streaches twords one direction...weird. The girls don't know about him yet but they will tonight so i'll take some picturs and let ya all know how it goes.

Man you never know what kind of life the little guy had...he very well could've been a hunting dog at some point in his life and it might still be in him. I really wanted to adopt him but the landlord wanted nothing to do with it.

Rescuing a dog is honestly one of the greatest things one can do in life.
My Lilli I got from the breeder and my Hydra is a rescue. I do believe in the future I will stick to rescues.
You case and mine are true rescues!! They are the most loving and thankful pups one will ever find.
The following link is the condition I found my Hydra in. It's a link due to it's graphic nature. Click only with regard.

My little Hydra is doing great. I use a harness for her as well due to the severity of her neck when I found her. She still has a full scar all the way around her neck but one cannot tell because the fur covers it up.
Good on you for rescuing the little one my friend good on you!

Wow man, that's heart breaking. I'd have to give an eye for an eye to the person who let that happen...maybe tie their ass up with a rope and see how they like it.

We are so happy that this little guy has found a good home and the time we had with him. It was a valuable lesson to teach the kids although Aly cried most of the way home the other night:o. But she is happy that your girls will take good care of him. Keep us posted on Reece:bigthumb
Rob, Heidi, Cam and Aly
Oh yeah, Our Black Lab keeps looking for him around the house, under the deck, under the grill, in the house......???

that is awsome to hear man
We also got our lab from a resuce center. she was abused and abandened on the side of the road when they found her. when we first got her she was scared of men, shes still a lil weary about men she doesnt know but loves me and my dad now. loves kids and attention...jumped up on the brothers bus the other day as soon as the bus driver opened the door and sat there all up right and happy while all the kids where petting her.
I love dogs and this is a great story man I hope you have many fun and loving years ahead. looks like the girls love em

When I brought home a new cat in November 2006, she was already named "Frannie". I adopted her from a shelter (at 8 months old). I let her out of the cat carrier, and Vinny took one look at her and said "her name is Reese, she looks like a smooshed up Reese Cup". LOL! So it stuck!
Your Reece is adorable. If I had a fenced in yard, I would have taken her. I just can't lock them up in a cage for 10 hours. Looks like your kids love her too! That's great! Happy Ending!
