I live out in the middle of no where with fields all around me. It seems that every bird within a 5 mile radius seems to use my house, trees, and anything else they can land their nasty shitting asses on. I have shotguns and rifles to get the job done if I wanted to...but I want to have fun picking them off one by one without scaring them all away. lol. So does anyone know of any good pellet/bb guns out there? I am talking something that is fast and accurate. I remember when I was a kid, the bb guns I had couldnt hit the broadside of a barn. Literally.

Note: I am not going to kill the good birds...just those noisy shit eating black ones that come in flocks and like to paint all my vehicles and break my tv antenna down.

If only they knew what was coming. lol.

I got a shadow 1000 from Wallyworld as a closeout. Gamo is the brand. Super nice. Was like $59

I had a crossman pump with a 4 power scope years ago. I got it sighted in with the pointed hunting pellets. I could pretty much nail anything up to about 40-50 yards. I know I did my best to keep the animal population in check in the woods behind my old house for a few years.

I would get something CO2 powered so you can just point and click instead of having to pump between shots. If you're good with a handgun then there are lots of choices there but i haven't seen many rifles that were C02 but i'm sure they're out there. There are some "pellet guns" out there that can kill a full grown man...you just have to shop around. My uncle had one when i was a kid that shot out pellets that were the size of a .22 bullet.

The Crossman 760 is great for that, it's quiet and accurate..
The problem with CO2 guns is that they are loud and scare away the rest of the birds. If that is all that you want it for, then the 760 pump with a 4x scope is the ticket.

Just remeber the Hunter's Law#1 - you have to eat whatever you kill!

That's true they are loud....pump might be better but it would still have to be awfully quiet not to scare the other birds away, especially when you're a bird and the guy on your left falls over dead.

A friend of mine had a .22 caliber pellet rifle that had a max of 8 pumps and that gun was awsome. The pump stock was real long for leverage because this thing was a bear for a 12 year old to pump.....Damn I wish I could remember the name of it

It must have been a good shot. We shoot them out of trees with 22's and it usually takes atleast 2 or more shots to get them to fall out of the tree. Not counting the dog and coon fight on the ground.

well we took our 80 gal. air compressor and a simple 12 volt solenoid rated at 150psi. well it worked better then any bb gun i've ever used.

I own a C9.20 cal. sheridan. 7 pumps will take care of birds, squirrels, rabbits, rats, cats, bats....etc..lol.. its a bad mofo. The only place i can find the pellets is "Afield" on harrison ave. They even sell the guns, give them a call and they fix ya up!
