I may be in the market for a replacement engine for a talon, or from an eclipse. 1st Gen.

I used to own one a few yrs back and it was probably the most fun car I've ever owned. I think I found a great chassis that needs a shortblock.

Actually if your not trying to squeeze a ton of power out of them, their biggest problems are tranny synchros and cv boots. Mine had a window track problem, but so does my 03 VW.

Rick, if you can't find one, I would honestly take a look over on cincystreetscene . Lots of DSM boys over there.

www.Car-Part.com is always a great place to start looking.
Do a Google Search on Japanese engines. There is a huge importer here in the USA of used Japanese car/truck engines. Probably pay out the wazoo though.

I used to have a 91 AWD TSI that run low 13's. They are a blast, but pretty hard to keep running right when you start modding them. Wish i still had one.:(

That reminded me... I actually bought a Talon engine for a local dude here a few years back using www.Car-Part.com. It came out of New Jersey and had it trucked to a terminal down in Dayton. Went down and picked up with my truck. Pretty painless experience. :bigthumb

Hey Charlie, would you mind checking the mileage on it and find out what they want for it? The tranny in this car is good and has a new clutch, so I really only need a motor.
