Why FOMF & NOT Stangbangerz!?

So, I have feeling that this question goes deep in to long time SB politics & being that I only know a tiny bit about all that I mean no offense to anyone and simply want to know why:

Why is it, in the issue of 5.0 And Super Fords - Is the hosting car club of this years NMRA event in cbus, FOMF, and not our bigger, better Stangbangerz?

Honestly, I don't know the first thing about FOMF, litterly, I know nothing, I don't even know the URL to their site....but it seems like if we got more orginzed we could be the hosting car club! I noticed Moontang@yahoo.com as the event coordinator in the magazine and I recognize that as a prominent user on here so please help me understand.

Well the fomf thing started a long time ago..... My Brother Brian Witte ( 87 Brookstang ) is the guy that started it all. As for it being the host of the car show for NMRA? that may something you ask the car show gang.... Moontang and Bobsgt? I will help whoever. I make no bones about the fact that I drag race and thats my deal. That being said I don't mind helping out the car show goons ...lol . As for bigger or better , thats just an opinoin . If registered number of users = bigger then www.LS1GTO.com must really kick ass. They have ton of registered users. Stangbangerz still kicks ass and it hopefully allways will. I think fomf really has taken on the roll of folks just wanting a place to shoot the breeze and plan little get togethers , cruis ins / dinners and whatever. Both cool sites and fun to check out. I would guess that if you ask everyone on Stangbangerz if they go to other Mustang sites ( Bigger sites ) that most likely everyone out there does. Honestly sometimes this car stuff bores the crap out of me... Thank goodness the internet is packed full of porn ...lol by the way.

F.O.M.F. RACING all started as a joke between me my brother John (blacksunshine) Don Godfry (87slvrcpe) and Dougie Lambert (capristang) as well as Jamie who now lives in Florida who drives a bad ass Fairmont and Todd Roberts. It basically started when the 03 cobras and Mach 1's came out and we were just jealous we didn't have money to fix up our cars so we came up with the name. Then for whatever reason it took on its own storm! It just started out a few close friends that thought they would name their little group that hardly had any money to fix up their stangs, all they wanted to do was take them down to the track and beat the shit out of them. If they broke tow them home and let it sit cause god knows it will be a while before you have the money to fix it. Now you got people organizing car shows which don't get me wrong thats cool but that was never the goal when this first started.

the above guys pretty much nailed it. Just another place to hang and enjoy the company of fellow gear heads. Not just stangs but anybody who puts their blood,sweat, and tears into their cars just to break them, fix them and go back at it again. The car shows are just another branch for those who enjoy making their rides unique while thrashing on them a little.

FOMF is a great site! Its pretty much a less dramatic version of Stangbangerz. lol its not as big of course only cuz it hasn't been around that long but its growing in numbers by the day.

We thought it would be a good idea to mix it up a little bit and have a different club name for the host of the show, besides all the members that worked the show are also on FOMF as well as here. So that is why besides I might want a break next year Maybe you could run the show next year Paulfiveoh (http://www.stangbangerz.com/forums/member.php?u=2379) it is a lot of work...and it would be nice to just go and show instead of working.

Stangbangerz was asked first if we wanted to host the Car Show again in Columbus this year. I declined and told Lisa to ask Scott if he was interested in getting his site involved. It's a lot of work to be up there all weekend. I just wasn't up for it again honestly.
