To prove that I'm not just a useless, valueless, meaningless poster....I figured I'd post some pics of one of our projects we hope to have finished by summer. We've got EVERYTHING we need to finish it except for warm weather! :)

Looks like a pretty solid car. I have a freind who has a bunch of old fastback mustangs (1965; 1966; 1968; 1969 Mach 1; 1970 Mach 1) and a tubbed, blown, boss powered 1932 3 window coupe. He did have some extra parts. If you need anything let me know and I will ask if he has it. Can't wait to so it when it's finished. Have fun.

I've always had a love for the 69-70 Mustangs.

It's very strange because I LLOOOOVVEEDDDD my 97 Cobra. That was my baby. I ended up selling it to my brother-in-law (so I still get to see her and drive her whenever I want). I didn't think I'd love anything as much as my Cobra......but I'm REALLY liking this car. It's an M code and we got it for a GREEEATTT deal. We are currently in the process of stalking 2 S codes as we speak ;). Things are just sooo much simpler with this car. I'm getting ready to try my welding skills...not on this car...but hopefully I'll be able to do some of the hard work on it. I know how to weld, and I'm actually pretty good at it...I just don't want to screw this car up. We've got a parts car that I'll be workin' on. We should be ready for paint April-May. We have every piece we need for it......front to back, basically all brand new. We're just waiting for it to get warmer.
I thought I'd miss my Cobra more...but...I really enjoy my daily driver...so that makes waiting for the Mach I a lot more tolerable.

Also....we do have another project in the works.........1963 Impalla...we're taking our time with this one! LOL

Man, you guys are busy with cars! I absolutely love the Mach I, can't wait to see it finished. We would love to have a classic Mach in the garage to go with our '04 Mach. Good luck with it all!

yay M-code! I had another 69 Eliminator that was an M code...it ran pretty well. I do have a huge soft spot for any S-,Q-R-code mainly because, well, they're big blocks. Whenver I get unicorn done we should have big block get together :cool1:

A Chevy guy? So sad. Could have at least been a Mopar guy or something. :(

Wow...tough crowd...tough crowd

I thought you guys would be a little more tolerant of mixed relationships, but apparently not. You guys don't know what it's like being in a mixed relationship today.....people always staring at us when we are at the track, judging us...whispering behind our backs...
When will the bigatry and discrimination end??? When will it be okay for a Ford girl to love a Chevy boy? Ever?? When will we be able to be ourselves and show out love in public without the scrutiny of the public eye upon us?

It's a sad sad world....

Gotta love those rear tires!!! My car wore a set just like them all through the 70's and most of the '80s. Boy would they hook up. Are you building it original/stock or are you going to make it unique?

I want to make it unique. I'm not too nostalgic, so I'm all about making it current. I just don't know what color I want to go with. The Indian Summer is original....but I like a more burnt orange color that's more prevalent on the GM's (I know...I know...). Black leather interior and carpet, so that's pretty standard but I'd like to have some of the brackets around the gages painted...probably black or mineral gray. Thought about carbon fiber too...but don't know....damned imports had to carbon fiber everything...

Still so much to do soooo....I'm just trying to appreciate the process....

Make sure you inspect the lower parts of the front shock towers. That seems to be a common place for rust on those cars. I have had to fix a few of them.

NEVER!! :HYF:

BTW, GREAT Mach I ! Brings a tear to my eye cause it reminds my of my 69 Mach I that I sold in back in 2000. :( :( :(

I used to wheel-n-deal very heavy in old Classic Mustang/Cougar parts back then. After I sold my Mach, I gave up on it. Kinda had to though. I was AD USAF and got transfered to Alabama.

I'll have to post some pics of it for you. :bigthumb

Mine was about 75% restored. Body was near perfect.

That was actually a worn out 69 Mach I that I took a sawzall too!

My other 69 Mach I is in the garage. You can see the front radiator support of it.

I have to go search for the hard copy pics and get them scanned to .jpg format.
