speedometer trouble...

i just bought an 85 merk.
has a t-5 tranny in it.

would anyone know which speedo cable might possibly work?
the merk's cable,or the t-5 cable?
or am i up sjit creek?

Possibly the t-5 cable.What does the end or how does it connect to the instrument cluster.Thats the end you have to look at.

Do a search...there's TONS of info on it there. You basically need a T5 cable with an adapter if i remember right.

You can use a Merkur automatic cable as it will be the same on both ends . I have sold alot of conversion kits for the Xr's and used the automatic cable as long as the Xr did not have cruise . Advance can usally have it next day . There will be two different lengths and you will want the longer of the two . If the Xr is silver with a Svo hood scoop it needs the gear in the trans . This was bad when I sold it last year .
