and haven't been around here in quite some time but somehow I managed to buy a car and build a website for it. the website is www.my69cougareliminator.com I'm hoping for a major overhaul of the site soon with pics of how it was found in 2002. So when that happens, I'll let everyone know. Until then, check out the site, read about the car and lemme know what y'all think!

Wow, sure brings back the memories.
Your site is absolutely fabulous!
The CJs were scarce on the street in those days, (Cougars especially) but I would check-out each and everyone I came across.
My brother test drove a new '69 Mach down at Riverside Ford. At the third stop light, he commented, yea it's fast, but doesn't have all that much Tourqe! He then looked close at the shift pattern and realized he was taking off in 3rd gear. He slid it into 1st, and smoked 'em all they way to the next intersection!:D Good Job.:coo1:

It never started out as me trying to find the car, it was just me wanting to get my dad some info about the car. I didn't have the VIN either, but like you had all the other info. so I called Marti Auto out of Arizona and the way it worked out for me was the previous owner had asked for info about the car too, but if you go to www.martiauto.com they can at least give you info on the car i.e. production stats about it. Search their website, you'll see their products.

Sorry man, but if I am lucky enough to go I'll take lots of pics so that I can email them to you. If you have time, contact bosscougar on the Boss 302 site http://www.boss302.com/smf/index.php?PHPSESSID=5cfd095cbc90a26bb518ff5554e36d 37&board=14.0 He is a wealth of info on Eliminators and can even point you to the directory. :bigthumb

Believe me, Unicorn is in the Eliminator registry, the CJ registry and every other registry that the car can be put into. Thanks for pointing me to that website though!

Hey! Saw that the beast is a factory drag-pak car and was curious if it had come with the 3.91 or the 4.30 gears? Gonna be so sweet when she hits the street again :bigthumb

came with 3.91s from tha factory but when my dad bought it he had the guys at the dealership swap it out for a 4:30 detroit from a brand new 70 cyclone sitting on the lot. Poor bastard that bought the cyclone didn't know he'd been duped. If y'all are interested, here's the Marti Report on Unicorn.

You'll notice on the right it gives a breakdown of how many were made with each type of option, but that's not very accurate. It's actually the only car to leave the factory with those options as you can read in my sig
