I've got junk...radials or not the car didnt run nowhere near how I wanted it to. I understand it spun like crazy and all that crap...but still i'm nowhere even close to being happy with it. I'd REALLY like to part ways with it and try my hands with something else..but we'll see what happens...

I'm getting the bugs out alright...The turbo kit just might get unbolted today and those headers flipped back around the RIGHT way. Hey Craig...what's the price on a new Big Shot kit..Im tired of fucking around with this turbo shit...i'm going back to the ole faithful power adder.

yeah fosure!! I'm getting ready to go out and unbolt the turbo kit here in a lil while. Thinking about cutting my losses and taking it to the scrap yard..I know it would make me feel so much better just watching it get crushed. I'm forsure done with the whole turbo thing....Nitrous kit here I come!!!

No more amazing than a nice hatch with about a 250 shot on it and yanking the front tires about 2ft off the ground. Look at your dirty dozen...that #1 spot dont belong to no damn turbo car!

There's no doubt that nitrous works, hell all the power adders systems work. I just hate to see you put that much effort into making a turbo setup work, and bail before you get it worked out. There's been a lot of effort getting it to where it is. Thats all I'm saying.

My thoughts are that it cant really be that far off. You've got all the supporting hardware for the combo. Does it just need tuned in? Are you running a wideband to know what your a/f ratio is? Surely you bumped up injectors and fuel pump to atleast, atleast a 255! Of coarse converter's are completely different for a turbo car, so that could be an issue. Timing is going to be huge, and you should be pulling timing and adding some back after your torque peaks.

Nitrous works everytime you hit the button. Nitrous dont blow tubes off. Nitrous you can turn on and off and use it as you want. Turbos are headaches, very tempermental, need a big crazy fuel system, needs tuned once a month, they drive around like crap. I've thought it over and over many times about keeping it and everytime something else happens. I was extremely happy with my car before when it just had nitrous on it..the only problem I fought was my transmission. I thought I had the transmission problem fixed and wanted more power...so I made the swith to the boosted world..immediately starting breaking everything...still need alot bigger fuel system..still needs tuned..and drives around like crap. I'm going back to something I know works...I'm not saying turbo cars dont make power...but they just dont impress me as much as a big nitrous can. Now that I have a tranny that I know is going to hold up...I'm just going back to nitrous...and alot of it!!

takes alot of tuning and time. most people think you can slap stuff together and it will fly. wrong. every power adder has its fall. nitrous is consistant though. its makes its own atmoshpere. its the ultimate street power adder by far. out of site out of mind and not knowing how much their is.

I do have to agree with you. I have never owned a turbo but have known people who have and they have been a headach. It takes along time and alot of money to make one run well and I believe when you make a change you have to tweek everything in the system. (not by experiance, but by friends experiance) I owned a Blower and never used it becuse it would have been to small to make the power I wanted so I would have had to buy a bigger unit, larger fuel system, ect... But a new set of jets on a wet plate system costs less then 20 bucks to my door and in a matter of minutes I have 50-100 more horse with minor changes ie; timing. I mean to each there own I just like spray becuse I am old school (carbed) and my combo is running with the pack of fast street turbo, blower, and nitrous cars. Turbos are cool just not for me. Just my 2cents.:bigthumb

Hey I still have that 347..No boost or juice needed..That engine will have power at all time..No waiting for it to spool and you don't have to refill the bottle...:eek:

My turbo fairmont is a great car with the turbo.Drives Great and runs awesome.I have always had nitrous cars also and may have another.But will never stray away from turbos. I Got nitrous setups if your wanting to trade.Cheater selonoids single nozzles and bottles.

LoL well your not getting off that easy!! I'm keeping the car together for right now and atleast take it to opening day at edgewater with some good tires on it. I went out and raced my brother (1byafender) yesterday..him on some bfg drag radials...me on some 17in regular radials. We raced from a stop first...He brought his way up on his converter..I left at idle...as soon as I let off I just barely rolled into it and the second it built any boost at all...the tires went up in smoke. I let out and tried to feather it as much as I could but nothing helped..I kept trying everything possible just to get it moving...he jumped out on me probably atleast 5-6 car lengths before I could get hardly any forward momentum. I finally got into high gear and got some traction and was able to pull a few cars back on him but at the end of the 1/4 he still had me by about 3 cars...we tried to go from a second gear pull but again...no traction for me and I about put it up in some peoples front yard, lmao!! It was alot of fun...and now I understand why NOSHOT was able to snap my car off. It's alot easier to understand now, that when someone your racing goes a 1.7 60ft next to your 2.5 60ft....it's realllllllllly hard to run them down. I had alot of fun though and learned alot about my car.....Metcalf Racing was following us and he was dieing laughing when we got back....I didn't really understand why at first...till we drove back down and I seen the 200+ft of marks that I left while trying to get my car to hook!!!!!!!!!:lol::lol:

Ya Rob you need tires for sure!!Thats why I was confused when Kelly called me up with the race???The tires are a big factor but dont overlook the fact your car only had a couple of MPH on me.Once that is figured out you will be more impressed than with tires!!!!!

I hear ya there! I need to find out why it will only make such little boost...Once we get that figured out..the tires are getting bolted on and it's time to see what this thing will do. Good times forsure though!!!!!

I wooded mine after getting it tuned on the highway in 4th and it spun the dr tires at 50... you will figure it out. if not throw the big shot on it and be done... i know you know how to tune nitrous.
