Those are quick but they're actually the slow ones...the real fast ones go 80+.

Tonight was my 3rd RC race after coming back from 16 years of not racing. took second. Was leading but got taken out by the rookie.
The 1/10 scale gas car like in that video should be starting up soon. I believe they race at Joyce Park, other side of the river from Tri State. While I'll stay electrics on a indoor track, the gas kick ass!
Give you an idea...........

I would have to paint my car a wild color just so I could keep up with it. LOL

I don't have the reflexes to keep up driving the road course cars, didn't have it 16 years ago, know I've gotten slower with old age!
I prefer the hammer down turn left oval approach :)
I must warn people, it can AND WILL cost as much as racing a real car. After 4 minutes you come off the drivers stand SHAKING with adrenaline. Chassis setup over power. You can have all the power but if you can't drive it or place the car on the line you want, power is worthless.
Sorta like Road Racing a real car :)
I'll get a schedule of the local gas races, maybe make a small BS meet out of it then head to BW3's or someplace to chow and watch NASCAR crashes.

well, Eli said the track wasn't flooded this year, but there was standing water in most corners. The indoor track that just open 4-5 months ago is next to Aarons in same plaza as ZLB Plasma, the old Ultra R/C place.
Honestly, with my Honda HB totalled last year, which I'd plan on running UMTR this year with it, I changed hobbies.
