I may be very interested in this car, is the motor built at all, how well will it hold up to insane amounts of boost like 30 psi?

The bottom end is easily capable of taking 30psi, the only problem you'll have is keeping fuel in it at that rate but if you can afford the injectors and a nice big front mount intercooler and probably a Megasquirt fuel management (i wouldn't trust any of the ECU's at 30psi) then it can easily be a reality. You really need to port the hell out of the head/intake to get the most out of it and when it's all said and done if you do it right 400hp+ at the wheels is very attainable.

BTW Mark isn't this the same one you had a thread on or did you have two '85s? Did the other thread get dropped or something?

car can handle 30 psi, if you drive it wisely and put high octane fuel in it.... i did it for a couple of high speed runs for ( testing ).... very fun and a little scary in a light car.

car already has a intercooler and big injectors, and most of the light mods done to it.
