I know how you feel. I watched my laptop bounce around like that on its way from Apple. It sat in Indepence for a couple of days. I could have been there and back home in about 2 hours.

I have to wonder, do you really think that the shipper re-types all your info?
I bet not. I could be wrong, but maybe you input the zip wrong. (Assuming it was ordered, on line.)

well, you've seen my dyslexic typing :)
But credit cards used online are reference to the billing zip code, therefore if I typed it wrong, I wouldn't have been billed.
I've had a tranny being shipped to me suffer the same fate, person at FedEx Kinko entered the wrong zip code. It went to Vandaila, then back to Fairfield.
Neither time was I called though, my phone number is on the label.

thats not true, i almost always ship to a different zip code than my billing zip code, we have a matchup with the zipcode as well here at the dealership, but that doesn't mean we won't ship,
i also had a mail order business for 5 years, same thing

i ordered some christmas stuff online, and the websites software, would automatically convert the zipcode to an incorrect zip. when i checked the tracking number (UPS) the status read "incorrect zip/address, notification sent to recipient". so i called the 1-800 number, and told them the tracking number, they located the packagesin the system, made the correction, and the stuff was here the next day.
i may be slightly biased from working for UPS, but it seems as though UPS's system is a bit more efficient than FedEx Ground...especially with the new Package Intercept option for shippers.
