I am about to end up with a 2wd 1990 f150 that has a 5.0. What is the totally different about it than say a 90 Satng 5.0?
The cam has to be different, but what all parts are interchangeable to give the old 5.0 a little more power?

I'm pretty sure the 90 f150 5.0's were speed density and used a hydro flat tappet cam, and hyper pistons.

They were none Ho motors so they have a different cam and firing order. They are bank fired not Sequential (SEFI) Free up the exhuast and intake some maybe shave the heads and port them. maybe a set of gears.
