vert top broke

on my vert the top lets down ok but wont power back up ,motor runs seems like i got a hydo prob. any ideas as to where to get this serviced would be appreciated

I had the same problem on my 87 turned out to be a ram. the moulded plastic top got brittle, cracked and the ram fell. then the nipple got damaged and yes oil everywhere.

Its not real hard to service once you get the rear seats out, and side panels off.

I found a doner on here and got a new ram and fixed it myself.

If you hear the pump it could be the ram , plumbing or it could be pump itself. Maybe even low on oil? with the rear seat out you will see the pump and can check the fluid level.

The oil tends to pool under the rear seats if you have a leak. You need to find a general mechanic not afraid of looking at this.
