So whats on everyones agenda for this year?

Motivated to acomplish something...(certain e.t.) ?

Go with the flow...?

Same as last year...?

Don't really care...whatever etc..?

Just curious whats going through everyones head. I know a few of my local buddies are a little burnt out on spending $$..., one buddy is selling his car and getting out completely for a year or two. I'm anxious one minute & then tired of thinking about it the next...Sounds like my car will be back in my hands very soon so im sure i'll be pumped then.

By the end of the year...I want to see:
-mid 9 second passes
-mid 1.3's 60's
-learn my clutch setup
-become better driver
-have more fun than 07'
-maybe make a final round in umtr

Well since I already fixed my shifting issue with the trans (cheap ass POS adjustable cable) I hope to see some low 13's on street tires and get into the mid 12's on drag radials. If I get enough over time I hope to add some more power and maybe get in to the 11's. Oh yeah I want to do this without destroying the stock t45.

I think I'm gonna take it easy this year. I've been at it pretty hard with the 86 the last couple years and I'm kinda tired of it. I think I'm gonna spend most of my dragstrip time in the 01. I will probably spend most of the funds on the wifes coupe this year, it looks like it should be ready for UMTR if everything stays on pace, but it will be a work in progress for the next couple years. I'm just gonna drive the 86 on the street this season and let the stock block live another year( hopefully). Maybe next year I'll have the fundage to do a Dart block in the 86.

Lots to do haven't really figured out what to do first. I guess start by installing GT 40 heads then install my new headers then perhaps my BBK lowering springs. Then who knows

I'd like to finish the three customer cars I have left and actually work on MINE. I should have a new progress thread on "The Blown Ranger" (pro-cha-ja!) by August. I have another project to complete for Goodguys in Columbus By July....a 50 F100, that will bear little or no resemblance to an actual 50 F100, if everything goes as planned.

I'm replacing the 3.27 gear with a 3.73 with 31 splines. Also going to Cobra brakes and Tokico 5-way shocks and springs. If everything goes well and I don't get laid off again I should be able to get my Kenne Bell on next winter. Along with the other numerous crap to go along with it.

Good luck to everyone on your goals.

Well my goal is less exciting than some of yours, but im new o the racing scene.

My goal is to be at a very consistant 12.4x with 1.6x 60 foot times.

And I am going to be trying some bracket racing for the first time, my goal is to not make mself look like an idiot and learn a lot ths year.

I'm going to have some chassis work done and up the power adder a little, we will see what the car can handle when its done. I want to get all the HP I can make to the ground and make a good pass without detuning it to go down the track, well tri-state at least. I would love to go to a wild street event this year, so I have to make it all work on DOT tires to do that! If the funds $$ hold up maybe have Plated put some color on it! we will see!

On a personal note: To help My Friends accomplish there goals and to help finish There Projects!!!!!!

By the end of the year...I want to see:
-Everybody safe and having Fun!!!
-Making a pass on DOT in the 8s  don't know if this will happen, But would love to see it!
-To see what my car can run Balls out!
-to have the car painted???????
-and did I mention Everybody having fun!!!!

Just to drive and enjoy it.
it was torn down most of last summer so I didn't get ot drive it much. But last summer was quite productive.
I put in new carpet and redid the interior. Put on a new manifold after the old one cracked and got new wheels.
I am getting married and buying a house this year so that will probably take my money.
But the Mustang is drivable so I am just going to enjoy it.
My buddy is picking up an 04 Mach 1 today so we should have plenty to work on.

Johnny, I dont think you'll have a problem with your goals this year. From what I hear your car is trick as hell, and You will be totally motivated to get it down the track once you get it back! I cant wait to check it out myself. ;)

My goal is to just have my shit Orange so I can start bolting parts back on this year. lol

And maybe make a pass in NMRA Real Street and UMTR. :)

i would like to get this tank into the mid 11's and still completely be completely driveable and towable. i don't know what it runs now, but i do know what it weighs....4880lbs! with me in it and a 1/4 tank of 93. however it definately has the potential. i think it will look good pullin a 9 sec friend to the track, reguardless of it's own times.

My goal is to get my 31 spline axles put in, subframes and torque boxes installed and hopefully with slicks run some 12.1X and 12.20's on motor and some mid 11's on 125 shot.

1) Decide on a frickin' combo and quit selling stuff
2) Have a good running, RELIABLE car for the entire year
3) Learn how to tune a TwEECer
4) Finish up all the little details to make the car perfect

I look to go rounds in the 05 with the UMTR group... maybe get to spray it before the end of the season.

The 88 will hopefully be getting some mild suspension stuff, DRs, and few other little things. It will also see some UMTR action with mom driving.
