I was wanting to put ARP rod bolts in my rods. Will it distort my rods and screw them up? I plan on tapping the old ones out without taking the piston and rods out of my block.

I'm pretty sure if you put new rod bolts in you should have the rod ends resized by a machine shop at the same time to make sure they line up true.

True, when you replace the bolts, the big ends have to be resized, they wont be perfectly round anymore. It's not expensive to have them done.

If I remember correctly, when I put the L19 bolts on my new Dart motor I had to have the crank rebalanced. The weight was different than when it was balanced with the original H rods.
