anyone do fireplace installation like say a free standing i guess they call it,wanting one installed in a basement running the stack etc.. any insight pm me thanks

my fireplace is like this http://www.icc-rsf.com/en/fireplaces/foyer_topaz.asp It puts out enough heat to keep my house warm and keep the thermostat high enough that the regular heater doesnt kick on.

i'd really like to put one in the basement,we have a fireplace upstairs,but really would like one downstairs,wondering how about going venting it? etc...

Mine is enclosed in drywall and has a insulated stainless pipe. You could run a freestanding stove and run the stainless insulated pipe up the side of your house
