Quick question -
I'll be running 60# injectors.
Boost will be about 13 to 15 lbs
I'd like to be able to run 93 as well as leaded.
I want to know if my intank 255 will be sufficient or if in your oppinion I will need an additional inline pump.
Thanks

even if you do not technically "need" it, it is some good insurance just in case. FWIW, I'm running 42 lb injerctors at about 10psi and i've got a high pressure 255 intank, as well as a t-rex boost a pump.

If your budget would allow it, I would go ahead and buy a aeromotive pump or something similar. I bought all aeromotive fuel system stuff, and now im glad I did. No problems at all. Plus a buddy of mine has a vortech boost a pump and a 255 in tank and is maxing them out at 10psi. and 500hp. I know its different on every car but just something to think about.

With a boosted setup...stock lines and fuel rails will max out at ~500rwhp....with a wet nitrous setup ~550rwhp. Doesn't matter on the pump...just can't push more fuel threw the stock lines.

twin inline 255 pumps is the hot setup. Very quiet and reliable. You can run one full time, and have another set up on a hobbs switch to have it come on when your in boost, or triggered to come on in any # of ways. Some people are actually running 3 of them inline now, for the added capacity.

A fuel system is something you dont want to skimp on. It would be well worth spending the money now rather than having to spend it later after your motor goes boom. It also never hurts to buy more than you need cause one your bitten you will always be trying to suck a little more hp out of it.

I think you are trying to say the right thing, but the right wording would be "in parallel". Inline makes it sound like you're talking in series, which is not what he wants to do.
If I were you'd I'd run a dual walbro 255hp setup in the tank. Upgrade the wiring to 8 ga, ran off a relay. Done deal. Not sure if fox hard lines or rail are up to the task though, you'd have to ask one of these gurus.

Here's a picture of one guys setup I was looking at.
This can be done cheaper by using hose instead of the additional fittings between the Y blocks and pumps.

That is one way to do it, but the far cheaper way is just to use in tank pumps, and a y right inside the tank.
Similar to this, just not all redneck looking like this particular example.

You think the fuel lines coming out of the pickup are big enough to support the power? Thats the only draw back to that setup that I can see. Someone was selling a dual setup like that, might have come factory in a cobra motor or something.

The stock line may not be adaquate, but a bulkhead fitting to some nice upgraded lines would be easy enough.

Here's a pretty elaborate setup for 255's. Not in my budget, but it looks pretty trick.

Jeeze, I have a feeling if I rush it and don't save a couple bucks, I'll have a rats nest of wires and hose!
Thanks for the outstanding advice, I think I will save a little and come up with the "parallel" twin pumps on hardline between the the Y blocks.

Or you could just run a single in tank Bosch 044. Don't ask me why that never occured to me before now.

We make pampers and luvs. It more than likely won't be anytime soon, but when they have a special, I'll be sure and grab a box of em'.

I just run a single 255 high pressure in my tank, but I'm n/a, so I can get more flow out of my setup than you could. If I ever needed more fuel I'd go with a dual in tank walbro setup, or a bosch 044.

I have a pair of pumps like that without the fittings. They are mounted on a piece of sheet metal. They came out of Terry Eshmans car last year. Make me an offer. I also have the intank pickup.
