I wanted to see if anyone had any interest in the stock hood w/ scoop that I have. I tried to make it work but the clearance is just a little tighter than I like. My air cleaner just touches and I wanted a little more clearance so I'm going to break down and buy a cowl hood. It will fit anything but a big block. If interested let me know and I will make you a good deal. BTW the scoop still needs to be mounted and it all is satin black w/ runs.

How much of a clearance problem??? We read where someone used a hoodscoop from a 82 Capri on a mustang with a 460 for the "sleeper" look. We are using a 429 with the stock K member, so basicly the same size. Anyway, how much for the scoop?

Thanks,
Rob

If you are using motor mounts and not a motor plate it wont work w/ a big block. I have my motor lowered quite a bit more than what it would be using the swap motor mounts. In fact most guys I've seen that use the swap mounts have to use a 5" cowl to clear the carb. I could make it work with some slight grinding but I really would just put a good ol cowl hood on it. If you think you are still interested in the scoop just shoot me an offer I promise I won't be offended.:D
