That makes two of us. When I was about 10, my uncle took me to Chandler Dragway. Bill "Maverick" Golden was running his "Little Red Wagon" wheelstander. My uncle grew up, across the street from Bill. So, I got to meet him and even got to ride on the tailgate, back up the return road. Big thrill, for a young guy.

I saw "TV" Tommy Ivo there, on another occassion. That was about the time everyone was making the switch, to rear engine. He had the RE car there, but ran the front engine.
