Thanks for the birthday wishes everybody. I think I'm going to take some of his ashes out there and sprinkle them near the wedding chapel (close to a Welcome to Las Vegas sign), since that's the place where we started our happy marriage and had the best time of our life!

I'm looking forward to a better year, and some changes in 2008! It can only get better, right? :cheers:

Thanks for all the HAPPY BIRTHDAY wishes everybody. It actually turned out to be a good day, despite waking up wishing..... nevermind. My friends at work took me to lunch, and surprised me with some other friends (girls that used to work here that I stay in touch with) meeting us at Rock Bottom.

I went home and my brother came down and hung out with me for a bit, then I went to my oldest and dearest friend's house, Kim and Hoss, and they gave me a gift card to Kohls (love shopping there), and then I went to the local pub with my older sister and had ONE drink (a woo woo!). A couple of locals (I have lived in New Richmond all my life) saw my car out front and stopped in to say Happy Birthday (it's a small town, everybody knows me in New Richmond). I could have gotten good and drunk for free last night, but I was good, and only had one drink.

So overall, I had a good birthday, despite the fact it was my first birthday without Vinny since 2001 (we met in June of 2000). My sister gave me some RED stuff for my newly redecorated kitchen (I used Christmas gift cards from work - Wal Mart, Target - to do that over my Christmas vacation), and of course, I already told you what Mommy gave me! :D

I have somebody staying at my house while I'm in Vegas to babysit the kitty cats and Twisted Twins.

I'm getting through these days with the help of mine and Vinny's family and some great friends, that means a lot of you peeps on this board!

Thanks for everything, you guys don't know how much your love and support helps me through the tough times. ;)

Well, so far you are right about that. It still feels like it happened yesterday. Nobody has any idea what emotions/feelings/thoughts go through your head until you are put into such a horrid situation, suddenly. Having a great circle of friends, and the best family support (mine and Vinny's) that I could ever ask for has helped me tremendously. It never gets easier, you just learn to deal with it, to live with it, and life does go on, not like you hoped/expected it to, but it does. :(
