I'm putting 5 pt harnesses in my car (93 RX-7). The seat works well with the shoulder bents and the lap belts, but the crotch strap needs to go through the seat.

I need to find soneone who is good with automotive upholstery, specifically seats. My seats are leather, and in very good condition. They would be very expensive to replace (~$500) if some hack fucks them up. I'll need the seat bottom slit for the belt, and a reinforcement sewn around the slit prevent it from ripping at the end of the slit, and to make it look better.

Ronnie Price in West Chester, on the corner of 42 and butler warren does awesome work, but he's not the cheapest around.

I dunno, what about him? I've never heard of him. Does he do good work? Anyone have seat work done by him, any pictures?

i don't have any pictures but I can tell you that I've seen several $100K+ classic jags & benzes to big money prevost diesel pushers & cigar boats come & go from his place over the years. He did all the custom interior in the living quarters of my 38' gooseneck moto trailer back in 01'...and it turned out badass! He used to have a commericial location in Harrison, but recently moved his shop behind his house which limits the access to big motorhomes & boats etc..but keeps him busy with cars. He will not be the cheapest but that usually goes as they say...you get what you pay for.

I saw a MG resto he did...spot on leatherwork! Mention UMTR/Stangbangerz and he might give you a decent discount.

I believe his phone number is: (812) 637-0061

i can't remember the name, i'll have to look it up, but there is a gentleman that came highly recommended to me in Amelia when I needed to get my tonneau cover done around the roll cage in my Lightning.

It turned out excellent.

I dropped off my seat bottoms to John at EdgeTech Upholstery today. He sewed up a quick test piece to show me how it would look. I was impressed, so its a go. I'll post up some pictures when I pick the seats up, and give my thoughts. I'm sure I'll be impressed.

I picked up the seats on Monday. John did a fantastic job. I'm very happy with the quality of the work, AND the timeframe he did them in. Just a day and a half really. I'd recommend him. John @ Edgetech Upholstery.

Here are some pics. He put in the black leather hole in the seat for the anti-submarining strap. Pardon the greasy looking leather. I just put on some conditioner and I was letting it soak in for a while before I buff it out.

A fair amount!!!!! I was more than happy with the work, and what he charged me. He explained that he's not the cheapest, but he's not the most expensive. He also corrected me when I first called him. I said, "I hear you do good upholstery work." He replies, "No..........I do THE BEST work."
