Just upgraded the monitor setup on the computer desk. Went from a single 23" LCD HDTV to dual 22" Acers.

So just out of curiosity are you running both off of one OS or do you have two PC's? I've got 2 PC's running through one monitor with a KVM switch. It's pretty convenient because i like keeping my desk as empty as possible so i like one monitor. I don't have mine on the wall yet but i'm planning on it.

Well, there are several reasons. For one, as an IT Tech, I do a lot of remote desktop work. It allows me to remote desktop with a client on one screen and search the web for solutions on the other. However, another big reason(probably more importantly... :lol:) I can surf the web and watch online tv/dvd's on the other. haha Perfect example, right now I am typing here and watching Scrubs online on the other! :D

Our new CAD workstations have dual quad core Xenons, 4 gigs of ram, 512 Meg Quadro dual head video cards, and dual LCD monitors. Throw in a case, a 750W PS, 2 DVD drives, speakers, KB and mouse and you are still under 3K. A Mac can't touch that power, period.

For home users who can't or won't fix a PC, yea OK. For work, a Mac is weak, expensive, and lacks drivers for things like distributed computing on a LAN.

Couldn't agree more! When I saw a friend of ours pick up a Mac for school and spend $3000 for a laptop that wasn't that impressive(and still have to spend a crap ton on software) - it confirmed it for me! That are fun to play with but we rarely ever run across one in a business environment(and we work with audio/video production companies as well... :tongue2:). They have their problems just like everything other PC does. Unfortunately you just pay through the nose when something does go wrong and it's out of warranty!
