I have pulled up alot of carpet in homes, and have found beautiful hardwood floors. Yours looks to be in GREAT shape.

I'm getting ready to do the same thing, pull up the carpet and redo the hardwood floors.

Well mine are untouched--pulled up the carpet and swept the floor.

Thats a nice surprise ! Really opens up the room too. We found quarter sawn white oak under ours when we pulled it. Congrats though great improvement IMO

No clue. House was built in '54. Bought it from the original owners/builders--yeah the husband/father built the house himself. Even built a shed that housed his tools while he worked. This guy was a freak.

you should pull up the hard wood floor and see if there is any nice carpet under it. :D

Looks good. I pulled the ugly green carpet up in my living room to find hardwood under too. That was years ago tho.

nice. is that real wood flooring? if you wanted you could sand it down and re finish it to look new. we did this to our friends house, made a world of a difference.
