Well, in search of a new project I am putting up for sale my pride and joy and three years of hard work. This car is extremely fast while maintaining excellent drivability. I bought the car basically stock and it has been built right with the best of the best.

Modifications started with subframe connectors and torque box reinforcements and ended with a built 31 spline rear-end, a Trickflow top-end kit, a Novi 1000 supercharger, and a custom dynotune by Rob and Don LaSota for a very conservative 365 rwhp at only 5 psi.

It looks 99% stock and I put the quietest mufflers I could find on it (tried 3 different types) and it still runs low 12s (likely 11s with traction -see timeslip)

Click here for a video at idle:

Click here for pictures, timeslip, dynosheet, and complete modification list.

As of 12/1/2007 this mustang has 177,386 mi. on the body, 70,000 mi. on the shortblock, 20,000 mi. on the clutch, 17,000 mi. on the top end (heads, cam, lifters, rockers, intake), and 5,500 mi. on the blower

There are not many 5.0 coupe mustangs out there as clean as this one and as carefully modified.

I have over $17,000.00 invested in it (with receipts) and I am willing to part with it for $14,000.00 O.B.O.

I will also consider trades + cash for low mileage, unmodified versions of the 2003-04 Mustang Cobra or 2002-04 Corvette Z06, or 2001-04 Base Corvette. Actually, let me know what you have to trade...

Buyer will have to pay all shipping costs.

Cash or Cashiers check must be in hand for test-drives.

Thanks for looking!!

Nice Christmas Present to Yourself!!!!!

More practice and a better driver and this is a mid to high 11 second car as it sits.

Low 11s/high 10s are possible with less than 1000.00 investment (pulley swap to 8-10 psi, more aggressive tune, nice driving)

14,000.00 Or Best Offer.

I appreciate the input, however, if someone can find me a car that looks and drives as mild as this one that can consistently be driven to the track run low 12s and be driven home for considerably less $$ please show it to me and I will buy it as I am looking for something new. If I were generous I would say I have seen 1 or 2 other coupes as clean as this one on the roads around where I live in over 3 years of daily driving and I know for a fact they were not high 11/ low 12 second cars.

The only cars that I can find comparable are 2003-04 cobras and c5 corvette z06s (what I am looking at and test driving currently) and they cost nearly 30 grand or more used. I have beaten both at the dragstrip on separate occasions but the vette at least has a level of handling and braking that will be very expensive to duplicate in my fox. The cobra handling/braking could be duplicated rather easily as a lot of the parts bolt on or are available but that is basically what I already have.

I know your friend "bob" has an open header 351 swapped, carbed, 4.90 geared, monster cam, no interior car, with a drag suspension that runs 10.0s all day but try driving that daily on real roads in real weather and get back to me after a month.

However, with that said, and the fact that I really want a corvette z06- I put in the original post "Or Best Offer" and I will gladly hear any on the table.

I have a few great trade oppurtunities, some local, and some at a distance but I am going to wait until late spring before I either A) Keep it, put some nice cobra seats and a maximum motorsports road and track kit in it. B) Trade with someone, take their car back to stock and sell it outright to buy the vette or C) Buy the vette and then part this car out for a tad over 10 grand.

It is really too nice a car to part out or let rot/waste by sitting but I have too much emotionally invested in it to give it away and am fortunately in a financial position in which I do not have to.

Thank you for your interest and please send any offer of price you may have in mind my way.

Lol.

None the less, it sounds like a carefully built ride. I think its just one of things that would have better luck in a Ford Trader or something big like that.

Keep it! Vettes are for old men and spoiled rich kids. There is some kind of pleasure asassinating those things in a $9000 fox body, that is un duplicable. As for the "kbb" value, that's not even admisible on our cars. That was for a 4cyl, plain Jane wasnt it? Talk about an insult lol...

Damn Sharad, for being a moderator you sure dont follow the rules in the classified section. I would think that if you think it's way over priced...you would go find one with a lower price that satisfys you. Why jack up this guys thread. I dont care if he wanted 25,000...If I thought it was to high, I would simply move on to the next one.

No joke. Guy has a nice car and wanting to sell. He will take what he wants for it if not he will keep it quit busting his balls over it.

Bump for ya guy.:bigthumb
