My step daughter is in a real financial mess and her car has to go since she can't make payments. I'm looking for a no-frills car for her. Nothing special, just basic transportation (and safe enough for the kids to ride in). Let me know what you have or know of.....key word here - cheap!

I'm selling my wifes 94 Camry. It has 150k miles on it. It has the 2.2 liter 4 cylinder engine, automatic transmission. Its the LE edition, has power sunroof, power windows, power door locks, cold A/C, etc. Its dark green in color. It runs perfect, no known mechanical problems. My wife just wants something newer. It does have a mild oil leak, which has been the same for about the last 2 years. A few drops a night usually. Its a very good car, and has been absolutely reliable since we've owned it (the last 6 years).

I'd looking for $2500. Not sure if thats in your/her range or not, so let me know if you're interested. Actually, depending what she has that she can't afford, we might be interested in a trade.

Manual is OK. She currently has a 2002 (I think) VW Jetta. Blue Book Value is equal to what she owes. About $12,500 I have no idea what condition it is in, I'll be betting the car will be mine shortly whether I want it or not.

My dad has an '88 LX hatch 4 cylinder 5 speed he'd probably sell.

It is maroon with red interior. Has GT front seats.
Has 10 holes with good tires
Some rust but is a decent beater car.

I think the only things it would need would be to install an aftermarket thermostat switch for the electric fan and a battery. I had the fan wired to a manual switch, but to be reliable for a woman it would need some sort of thermostat to control the fan. It'll start to get hot if you are stopped in traffic and don't turn the fan on.

It uses some oil but doesn't smoke.

I drive it to work when I am doing maintenance on my truck.

$700.00
